Plans are underway for an epic weekend celebration of Placer High School’s 125th Anniversary! Organized by the Hillmen Foundation to benefit academics, athletics and student activities at Placer High, the weekend has something for everyone:
Kickoff! Friday, September 30, 2022 Our mighty Hillmen take on the Ponderosa Bruins in a home football game at LeFebvre Stadium at Placer High School. Kickoff is at 7 pm. Don’t miss this chance to cheer on our team, enjoy the Hillmen band and cheer squad’s inspiring flag entrance and awesome half-time show, and reminisce with your classmates and friends. Street Gala! Saturday, October 1, 2022 Alumni, community members, and friends are invited to celebrate 125 years of Placer High at a street gala in Old Town Auburn. From 4 – 11 pm, this evening of fun, food and festivities will feature bands and dancing from different eras on the streets of Old Town. It also will have other programming to celebrate Placer High, its historic impact on the greater Auburn community, and the legacy of generations of students. Most of all, proceeds support the important work of the Hillmen Foundation by increasing our efforts to enhance student learning at Placer High beyond what state funding provides. Individual tickets will go on sale this summer but sponsorship and donor packages are currently available, including tickets and other recognition benefits based on the level of financial support. Please contact us at info@hillmenfoundation.org for details. Alumni Picnic! Sunday, October 2, 2022 A free all-class reunion of all Placer High alumni, faculty, staff, and their families/friends will cap the 125th Anniversary weekend celebration. The Hillmen Foundation has reserved the back park and picnic area at the Auburn Recreation Park for all graduating classes to gather. We’re planning to invite food trucks or other vendors to set up for purchase; or simply bring your own food and beverages. Stay tuned here for more information as the plans progress. Help Make it Happen! The Hillmen Foundation is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization that is independent of Placer High School and the Placer Union High School District. So, we need volunteers and supporters! If you’re interested in volunteering or helping with a sponsorship or donation, please contact us at info@hillmenfoundation.org. Thank you and Go Hillmen! |
